Located in a captivating tiny village in the Valle D’Itria, “La Vigna” provides the perfect setting for lovers of great food, wine and fine architecture. For those of you who have not yet discovered its beauty, Puglia is often described as the “new” Tuscany.

La Vigna offers views of the Valle D'Itria and the historic mountain villages of Ostuni (the white city) and Cisternino whose architecture and cuisine have been influenced by the diverse invaders of the area. This is unspoilt Italy. If you are seeking authenticity situated in a truly elegant and relaxed environment, you will find it at La Vigna.

A former farmhouse, it is set in three and a half acres of olive groves, almond, fig, pomegranate and cherry orchards and has its own vineyard. The extensive veranda, which is accessible from all three bedrooms, benefits from the early morning sun, overlooks the Mediterranean garden and vineyard and is an ideal spot for enjoying a tranquil breakfast.

Traditional Trullo

The house, several rooms of which are old and original, has been renovated to the highest standards, whilst retaining its bona fide architectural legacy. Two bedrooms are traditional “trulli”, for which the area is renowned, and are characterised by vaulted ceilings and monastic-style limestone domes, which keep them deliciously cool in the hot Italian summer. The renovated buildings have spacious rooms and blend sympathetically with the old farmhouse. The property has beautiful pale limestone floors throughout.

The bespoke kitchen/dining room is fully equipped with all modern appliances and is ideally suited for family meals with the table seating up to ten people. Double French doors open onto a stone terrace which has sunshine from late morning through till sunset.
